This is one of the elaborately decorated 'Horses' from the 'Parade of Horses' in St Margarets Hope, South Ronaldsay, Orkney.
It is a tradtional custom where boys and girls dress up as plough horses and will then parade with the ploughboys who will then have a ploughing competition on the 'Sands O' Wright' beach using small, hand ploughs.
